Distinctive and unique, it is one of the most mysterious countries in the world. Yes, that’s right—it’s the Land of the Rising Sun: Japan.

A country that lives by its own rules: here, tradition is sacred, and technology is the future—already here. It is a place where Tokyo’s bustling traffic coexists with the world of geisha and tea ceremonies, Michelin-starred restaurants with gourmet street food, true samurai with the anime district, and high-speed trains bring travelers to ancient cities. This is a country for those seeking inspiration, depth, and meaning.

For many years, we’ve painstakingly gathered the very best Japan has to offer, and we’re ready to share it with you. The result is a truly eclectic journey in the spirit of White Garnet, where anything is possible: explore dynamic Tokyo and enjoy the tranquility of Kyoto’s ancient temples, dine with a real geisha and visit a museum of the future, feed deer in Nara and meet snow monkeys, spend time at Japan’s finest hotel with a view of Mount Fuji from every room and retreat to a monastery to experience Zen, explore gastronomy by touching the essence of flavor, meet the masters who create magic from simple ingredients, and gain access to places usually spoken of in whispers.

You can’t truly understand Japan just by hearing about it—you have to experience it from the inside. And to do that, you need to slow down. Then, just one hour of new experiences will feel like a year full of exciting events. Your world will be turned upside down—we promise.

JAPAN. BACK TO THE FUTURE
MOMIJII OR HANAMI
To truly experience Japan, you need to visit at least twice: in spring and in fall. Hanami—falling in love with the delicate beauty of the cherry blossoms when spring arrives—and momiji—marveling at the vibrant colors of the autumn maple trees. Both of these experiences are truly breathtaking. Japan in spring and Japan in fall—two different journeys that, nevertheless, complement each other.
We’ll stay at Japan’s finest hotel, complete with hot springs and a kaiseki dinner—a multi-course Japanese feast—soak in the onsen, and fall asleep to a view of Mount Fuji from every room.

Daily Schedule
April 3–12, 2026 (9 nights/10 days)
November 21–30, 2026 (9 nights/10 days)
Day 1.
Hello, Japan! Osaka at night. Sumo.
Hello, Land of the Rising Sun! Are you ready to immerse yourself in traditional culture, marvel at cutting-edge technology, try authentic sushi, sip matcha, and, of course, witness the magical colors of autumn maple trees or cherry blossoms in bloom? Then let’s begin our journey!

We’ll meet you at the airport in Osaka—a city known for its nightlife and delicious food. We’ll check into a brand-new, luxurious 5-star hotel with spacious rooms and relax.

This evening, we’ll be treated to a vibrant and moving performance—a traditional Japanese sport with a 1,500-year history.
We're going to have dinner and watch sumo, chat with the wrestlers at the dohyo, and take some photos to remember the occasion.

Afterward, we’ll take a stroll through Osaka’s Times Square—the Dotonbori district, famous for its huge, bright neon signs, clubs, and bars
and restaurants. But the main thing today is to get to know each other, the organizers, and the Japanese philosophy of omotenashi, and to establish a routine
and relax, because we have days filled with exciting experiences ahead of us.
Day 2.
Osaka. The Sacred Mountain. A Night at a Buddhist Monastery.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll visit Osaka’s main samurai castle, which offers the most beautiful panoramic view of the city. Then we’ll try gyoza, okonomiyaki, and takoyaki—don’t ask what all those strange words mean. Just trust me—it’ll be delicious. And we’ll head out to add something unique, authentic, and meaningful to our experience of the country.

We breathe in the fresh air and bathe in the forest—both of these Japanese expressions perfectly capture the day we find ourselves at the sacred Mount Koya. It’s like a journey back in time to centuries past, to a Japan straight out of ancient books, steeped in legend.

There are over 100 temples here, and we’ll be staying at one of them. We’ll take a short hike along a sacred path and explore the main sights accompanied by a monk. The town resembles a large temple complex with rock gardens, quiet streets, and the oldest cemetery in the forest, where real samurai are laid to rest.
Let’s go for an evening stroll through Okunoin with traditional lanterns, listen to stories about Japanese spirits, and then sit in meditation
with the monks.

Life at the temple is reminiscent of a ryokan: traditional tatami mats, inner gardens, exquisite craftsmanship… but here you’ll get a glimpse into the monks’ daily lives and have the opportunity to attend morning prayers. It will be a day of peace and meditative contemplation.

Step into the hot springs, close your eyes, and listen to the sound of the water… Relax…
We try our first traditional kaiseki dinner (it’s vegetarian here), warm up in the onsen, and snuggle under huge down comforters on the tatami mats
and fall asleep thinking about tomorrow.
Day 3.
Deer in Nara. Kyoto.
For anyone who wants to get the most out of this place, we recommend visiting
for the morning prayer, which the monks lead every day.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Japan’s first ancient capital—the city of Nara. And we’ll find ourselves in the realm of the deer. Get ready to have your heart melted by the practically tame deer that roam the streets here in huge numbers. Completely free, they come to the local parks every day because they know they’ll meet tourists holding those coveted cookies. And so the barter begins. A treat in exchange for the cutest photos on your roll of film.

As we stroll through this city, we’ll not only come across deer on every corner, but we’ll also be able to explore ancient temples listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and learn a lot about Japanese culture. Let’s go meet the giant Buddha. Want to improve your karma?
Then you’ll have a challenge ahead of you: crawl into its “nostril.” The Japanese believe that the ritual helps purify oneself and reset the “debt” counter. We’ll stop at the Isui-en landscape garden to admire the cherry blossoms and maple trees, and have lunch at an authentic restaurant where they prepare eel like no other.

Next, we’re heading to the city that is rightly considered the heart and soul of Japan. Yep, we’re off to Kyoto! A luxury Zen hotel awaits us, featuring exceptional design, attention to detail, a fantastic pool, a spa, and the most attentive staff. An amazing, atmospheric, and serene sense of perfection. We’ll be staying here for 4 nights.
Day 4.
Kyoto's Most Famous Temples. Gion. Dinner with a Geisha.
Today we’ll spend the whole day exploring Kyoto with a professional Russian-speaking guide. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its breathtaking views of Kyoto. In spring, during the cherry blossom season, the temple is surrounded by a flurry of pink blossoms, and in autumn, the entire grounds blaze with red and orange autumn leaves. Afterward, we’ll head to the jewel of Kyoto—the Golden Pavilion. The building stands on the shore of a mirror-like lake. The gleam of the gold leaf covering the walls shimmers in the sunlight and reflects off the water’s surface.

At lunchtime, we'll find out where the chef buys the freshest fish
for Michelin-starred restaurants, after which we’ll sample seafood and delicious crab at the street food market.

Let’s explore the mysterious Gion district and wander through the ancient streets of Kyoto. We’ll definitely visit the neighborhood featured in *Memoirs of a Geisha*. Old machiya townhouses, narrow alleyways, and young women in traditional Japanese attire. This is the place where even Japanese people can experience the true essence of Japan.
We’ll visit the most beautiful temples and the most picturesque gardens with huge colorful koi, and we’ll take our time admiring the cherry blossoms and crimson maple trees. We’ll listen to our guide’s stories and observe how the Japanese live. In short, get ready—it’s going to be a full and very interesting day.

And then… One of the most exciting moments you’ll ever experience
in Japan. We’ll be having dinner in the company of a real geisha! A geiko’s duties include entertaining guests with dance and song, as well as keeping the conversation flowing. Getting a reservation for dinner with a real geisha isn’t easy, and in some restaurants, it’s impossible for a foreigner to dine without a Japanese companion. Offering you something unique and solving complex challenges with beautiful results—that’s what White Garnet is all about.
Day 5.
Kyoto. Kimono Experience. The Road of a Thousand Torii Gates. Tea Ceremony.
Let’s get used to drinking matcha tea instead of cappuccino. Today, we’ll fall in love with matcha so much that we’ll start ordering absolutely everything made with it—ice cream, desserts, cookies. A private tea ceremony awaits us—we’ll watch the master perform the ritual and then whisk the matcha ourselves until it’s frothy. In the Japanese ceremony, there isn’t a single unnecessary movement or object. Everything is measured, balanced, and turned to face the right side—the beautiful side.

And to truly immerse ourselves in the city’s magic, we’ll try on traditional kimonos: for a little while, we’ll step back in time and transform into a Japanese beauty or gentleman. Putting on a kimono is like a mystery that can’t be filmed: at least
Three Japanese women: one adjusts the innermost layer, the second tucks in the kimono, and the third prepares the five layers of belts and corsets for the sash. Everything is fastened exactly as shown in the movies. We slip on our geta and head out for a walk and to take some photos. Passersby stare at us, and cars slow down in front of us.
It all reminds me of that scene in *Memoirs of a Geisha* where she stops a man with just a glance. Just give us a wink, and we’ll book a professional photographer to capture your most memorable moments.

Let’s wander among the sacred torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine. You’ve probably seen photos of thousands of orange gates winding through the forest like a tunnel. These tunnels form a 4-kilometer pilgrimage trail; you can climb to the top of Sacred Mountain, take in the view of the city from above, and then descend along a nearly circular route. We’ll be there at sunset to fully soak up the atmosphere of the place.

In the evening, we'll have dinner at a restaurant where you get to grill that delicious wagyu yourself.
Day 6.
Bamboo Forest. Monkey Mountain. Temple of a Thousand Faces.
We’ll watch the sunrise in a magical bamboo forest. The government protects this unique forest as “part of Japan’s soundscape.” Just imagine how thoughtful the Japanese are—they even protect sounds!

Next, we’ll climb Mount Iwata, where we’ll watch the “snow monkeys,” which can only be found in Japan.
We’ll visit the Temple of a Thousand Faces, a place off the beaten path where 1,200 handcrafted Rakan statues are housed—each one expressing its own unique emotions.

Let’s end the day with dinner at a famous crab restaurant that opened over half a century ago. With hundreds of crab dishes to choose from—ranging from soups to appetizers—you’re guaranteed an umami experience.
Day 7.
Mount Fuji. Lake Kawaguchiko. A luxury ryokan with a view of Mount Fuji.
Time to zoom across Japan at the speed of sound—yes, of course, on the magnificent Shinkansen, the bullet train that reaches speeds of up to 300 km/h. Our journey in first class will be exceptionally pleasant and brief. I ate a traditional bento box for lunch and found myself in a new city before I knew it. It’s nothing short of a time machine.

Mount Fuji is a symbol of Japan recognized around the world. We’ll admire the beauty of Mount Fuji from the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, from the observation deck at Chureito Pagoda, but most importantly, from the window of our own room in a luxury hotel. A visit to Japan is simply unthinkable without this unique hotel. After experiencing the personalized service here, it’s very difficult to stay at any other top-tier hotels around the world.

Every visitor to Japan should experience a ryokan at least once. We’ll spend the whole day in yukata robes, taking our time.
It is in places like these that Japan offers a glimpse into its culture, giving you the chance to experience the Japanese tradition of contemplating nature and achieving complete relaxation. Each room features a hot tub and one of the most picturesque views on the planet.

And in the evening, we’ll treat you to a kaiseki dinner at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant—one of the best in Japan. This culinary experience deserves nothing but the highest praise. Dozens of tiny plates appear before you every minute. At times, it feels as though a Japanese dinner is a form of contemplation—a masterful still life and “culinary ikebana.” Mount Fuji seems to watch over this extended performance, guarding the rhythmic life that could one day become yours. Dinner is included in the price.
Day 8.
Tokyo. A Day of Museums and Secrets.
Our tour of traditional Japan is coming to an end, and we’re moving on
to ultra-modern Tokyo. We’ll head up to the observation deck of a 47-story skyscraper with a view of the entire city. We’ll visit the world’s most famous dog—Hachiko—who has become a symbol of loyalty. We’ll get lost in the crowd at “the world’s busiest intersection.” Did you know that during rush hour, more than 2,500 people cross this intersection in just 2 minutes? That’s incredible!

We’ll cross one of the most beautiful bridges in the Japanese capital to take a stroll along the waterfront of the artificial island of Odaiba. Then we’ll head to the TeamLab Museum to explore the world of digital reality. You’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into your wildest dreams, and through light, sound, and tactile sensations, you’ll enjoy a new and inspiring experience.
Tonight, Tokyo is lighting up with neon lights just for us! And this Italian restaurant is closing its doors to other guests. A private dinner awaits us, along with the fastest trip to Italy—trust me, Tokyo is where you’ll find the most delicious Italian pasta.

A night at a luxurious 5-star hotel in Tokyo. A brand-new building, spacious and stylish rooms with a bathtub by the window and a fantastic view of the city, where pajamas are brought to your room before bedtime and thoughtfully laid out on the bed, and Moët is served in the club lounge. It effortlessly combines style, Japanese hospitality, and exceptional service.
Day 9.
Tokyo. Omakase and sake tasting.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll set out to explore this vibrant city with a professional guide. We’ll visit Senso-ji, the most impressive and oldest Buddhist temple. And we’ll experience a sense of extraordinary peace at the Meiji Shrine.

We know the best spots for viewing cherry blossoms and red maple trees—visiting them is sure to make you happy. These spots will change with the seasons.

And tonight, we have a special gala dinner in store: we’re closing the sushi bar just for our group. How does that sound? An omakase set prepared by a renowned chef, just for us!

“Omakase” is a Japanese word that literally means “as you wish”: the guest leaves the choice of ingredients and dishes up to the chef. Following the principle of “ichi-go ichi-e,” our chef transforms every dinner into a unique ritual, where seasonality dictates the menu and the morning’s catch becomes the evening’s masterpiece.
There are no chance visitors here. This is a place for those who know how to listen to silence, appreciate subtleties, and are ready to discover the essence of Japanese cuisine in its purest, most perfect form.

We’ll dive headfirst into the world of sushi and start learning about the different types of tuna, so terms like otoro, chutoro, and akami will no longer be a mystery. Want to prepare for the experience? Watch the film “Jiro Dreams of Sushi.” And to accompany dinner, we’ll taste the finest sakes with a sake sommelier and listen to stories. It is a very delicate drink with a whole palette of flavors and aromas; it never tries to steal the spotlight, overshadow the dish, or assert its character... On the contrary, it blends subtly and seamlessly into the pairing.
Day 10.
Goodbye, Japan!
Before your flight, you'll have time to continue exploring the city on your own.

Perhaps you’d like to ride the high-tech roller coasters at Tokyo Disneyland or visit the theme park dedicated to the legendary animation studio of Hayao Miyazaki. Or maybe you’d like to go shopping in the trendy Ginza district or the Akihabara electronics megamarket district. On this street, you’ll be transported back to Japan in the early ’90s: SEGA, anime, robots, skyscrapers, arcade games, and the world’s largest sex shops.
It’s impossible to imagine the Land of the Rising Sun without video games and adult-oriented content. Well, rest assured—we’ll show you all the best stuff!

And so our journey through a country that allows you to visit both the past and the future in a single day has come to an end. We contemplated Zen in Kyoto, cleansed our karma in Nara, enjoyed the beauty of Mount Fuji, and immersed ourselves in a wonderful new world in Tokyo… The road home lies ahead, but we’re not saying goodbye.
